A few attempts to draw a man who watches rugby matches in the same pub as me. He has a sunbed tan and lots of rolls in his neck, but he's sort of statuesque at the same time.

Today feels like what a friend of mine once called "a dog-danglin' afternoon", so I thought I'd post these happy little fellas. They're sketches from a job that I'm pitching for – fingers crossed!

Happy New Year! It's been a while since I put anything up here so I'll start with this Christmas Card. Duncan Molloy wrote a seasonal story and I made it into a card, featuring three linocut illustrations. Better photographs will follow.

Language worked on this Barnardos campaign to protect children in the upcoming budget. Paul O'Connell and Sonya Lennon lent their support, the aim being to get 10,000 signatures on a petition against cuts to child services. No money or time required, just your name. http://www.barnardos.ie/knows/
